Network Monitoring
|
| |
A business' success has never been more dependent on technology. Your business depends on how effective your network is, how reliable the technology will be and how much money you have to spend maintaining and protecting your IT assets. This is where the benefit of having a trusted managed service provider (MSP) comes in. An MSP can provide fixed support costs, improve network efficiency and ensure minimal interruption of IT assets.
Datel can provide network monitoring services for you so you can focus on doing what you do best, growing your business.
How it works:
Datel uses the following service engines to accomplish this monitoring:
- Agents are used to collect specific information about your servers.
- SNMP Service Engines use SNMP to collect information and monitor for fault notification so network elements such as switches, routers and printers can be monitored efficiently.
- TCP Service Engines monitor and test all the TCP applications used within your environment.
- Log File Analysis Service Engines easily mine and record log file information and eliminate the tedious task of pouring over reams and reams of log files looking for specific information.
All the data collected through these service engines can be included in a report on performance and availability and can be set up as notifications on exceptions or threshold crossing. With these reports and notifications, you'll always know how the network is performing.
The following are services monitored:
- SNMP, Connectivity, Traffic, Bandwidth, HTTP, POP, IMAP, DNS, SMTP, NNTP, SSH, Telnet, VNC, Generic TCP (user defined port), CPU, Disk, Memory, Processes (services), Synthetic Transactions for Availability and Log Analysis.
